ALPFA membership combines general, associate, and student membership levels. Each level adds unique value to the ALPFA New Jersey Chapter:

• General Membership - $120 / year or $300 for 3 years
• Associate Membership - $120 / year or $300 for 3 years
• Student Membership - $20 / year
• Lifetime Membership - $1,200

All ALPFA members are entitled to:

• All promotions and discounts made available by ALPFA or its sponsors subject to any time or quantity limitations specified;
• Access job postings on the web site;
• Post their own resume on the web site;
• Attend all membership meetings and events;
• Vote in chapter and national elections as specified for each type of membership;
• Run for voting Board positions at the national or chapter level;
• Serve on committees subject to approval of the national or chapter Board.

General Membership
Requirements:
Any person who shares our values, mission, and principles; and,
holds a baccalaureate degree, or its international equivalent in accounting or finance related majors; or, holds an equivalent professional certification in an accounting or a finance related field or shall be a practicing professional in the field of accounting or business finance.

Rights:

• Vote on any and all matters put forth for a membership vote at the national and local level, except for the election of the Associate Member Board Representative or the Student Member Board Representative.
• Initiate or support the nomination of any qualified member to any position on the national or local Board of Directors except the Associate Member Board Representative or the Student Member Board Representative.
• Run for election to any national or chapter position on the Board of Directors or its Committees except that of the Associate Member Board Representative or the Student Member Board Representative.

Associate Membership
Requirements:
Any person who shares our values, mission, and principles; and,
does not meet the qualifications of General Membership or Student Membership.

Rights:

• Run for election to the position on the national or chapter Board as the Associate Member Representative;
• Vote only in the election of their national and local Associate Member Board Representative. May not cast a binding vote on any other national or chapter matters.

Student Membership
Requirements:
Any person who shares our values, mission, and principles; and,
provides evidence of current enrollment in an accredited high school, college, or university.

Rights:

• Run for election to the position on the national or chapter Board as the Student Member Representative;
• Vote only in the election of their national and local Student Member Board Representative.  May not cast a binding vote on any other national or chapter matters.

Lifetime Membership
Requirements:
The same requirements as general membership.

Rights:

All the rights and privileges of General Membership.

Dues Policy

Membership dues are payable annually based upon each member's individual membership anniversary date. Membership commences once ALPFA has received all required member information and has deposited sufficient funds for membership dues. Dues are subject to change at any time by the national Board of Directors and effective 60 days after public notification.
